1  The Service: what we provide to you

1.1  We store your company's Technical File securely and confidentially in a safe place in West London, UK. The address is not shown here on this web site for security reasons. We provide the address to you when you sign the Application Form and contractual Agreement for the Service.

1.2  We make the Technical File available to any relevant EU Trading Standards organisation if they request to see it.

1.3  We advise you of any requests by EU Trading Standards organisations to examine the Technical File.

1.4  If and when Trading Standards organisations have queries about your Technical File, they will contact us and as your representative, we listen to the queries and send them to you for your answers. We will then provide these answers to the Trading Standards organisations.

1.5  Where it is not possible to resolve a query with the exchange of few short messages (1.4), we provide an Enquiry Assistance service. Enquiry Assistance involves us spending time communicating with the Trading Standards organisation and you to help you resolve complex queries.

1.6  We provide you with a contract for the Service which is for 7 years.

2  The Service: what you are required to do

2.1  Complete and sign the Application Form and contractual Agreement for the Service, which we send you when you apply.

2.2  Send us a copy of your Technical File including reference number and date, and CE Certificate number and date. Any changes you subsequently make to the Technical File should also be sent to us. We will acknowledge receipt of the Technical File and revisions.

2.3  Respond in a timely manner to requests that we pass on to you from a Trading Standards organisation.

2.4  You may use our name in yours or your import agent's product literature or advertising. We will give you our Post Office Box address to use. For security reasons, we ask you not to publish the real address of where the Technical File is stored.
